Welfare Bonus for Futura Woodmac Employees
For the company Metalstar 2000 (metalworking with iron and sheet metal processing) and its in-house division Futura Woodmac (woodworking machinery production), the last few years have been years of significant growth.
This was also the case in 2022: a very difficult year in terms of finding raw materials and steadily rising prices, which caused a contraction in demand for products, increased competition for services and more complex customer relationships.
At this stage, managing to increase turnover was a feat that the company’s partners (from founder Oto Cusano to his children Federico and Giada, technical and commercial manager respectively) wanted to share with their employees (“if we have grown, it is also thanks to them”).
For the owners, listening to the thoughts and opinions of every employee has always been understood as indispensable in finding solutions, not only in this extremely complex and multifaceted phase.
Today, in spite of the difficulties, it was therefore decided to concretely recognise their contribution with a financial bonus, commensurate with their achievements together, aware of how the obstacles to entrepreneurial choices also had negative effects on their private lives, first and foremost with the increase in inflation.
This was followed by the decision, for Christmas 2022, to give each of the almost 60 employees around EUR 800 more in their pay envelope (a figure commensurate with the period of employment and otherwise), thanks to a total welfare bonus of EUR 50,000.
